New captive insurance specialist starts at Tennessee regulators

Kent Ussery has announced that he has started a new position as Captive Insurance Specialist at Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, based in Nashville, Tennessee.

Ussery was previously a senior tax advisor at Riverfront Advisors from November 2023 to May 2024, also in Nashville, Tennessee, where he prepared tax returns and contacted the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state agencies regarding tax notices.

Prior to that he was a senior tax accountant for a number of different firms in the Nashville region.

From October 2011 to July 2012 he worked as a reconciliation specialist at the Sarah Cannon Research Institute.
