Lockton strengthens people solutions team in Norway

Lockton has announced the arrival of Øyvind Larsen to lead its people solutions business in Norway. Based in Oslo, Larsen will be joined by further senior hires, establishing a competitive new proposition for existing and prospective clients in the region.

Larsen brings more than 25 years of experience to Lockton, the company said. He joins from Aon in Norway, where he was most recently head of health & benefits, playing a key role in the management of the Norwegian business.

Lockton added that its Norwegian people solutions team will be strengthened by further senior hires in January. The new hires will join Larsen in senior capacities, providing further impetus to the team’s market-leading expertise in the region.

According to Lockton its people solutions practice supports clients in the areas of employee experience & engagement, total rewards & benefits, and the measurement and management of these programs.

The company said in a statement that: “The new people solution team in Norway is bringing together unique competence and risk management expertise within specific investment areas such as employee risk benefits, pensions, employee communications and data analytics. This expansion demonstrates the continued focus on people solutions by Lockton, adding to the rapid growth of the business globally and complements the already great businesses in the UK & Ireland.”

This announcement marks the latest addition to Lockton's leadership team based in the Nordics. In September, Lockton extended its portfolio of risk advisory and insurance brokerage services in Norway to include energy, renewables and property, and in October a further senior hire was announced for Lockton Sweden.

Over the coming months, Lockton said it expects to bring onboard a succession of senior professionals to bolster its support for current clients and to cater to a robust pipeline of potential prospects.

EJ Hentenaar, chief executive of Lockton Europe, said: "Øyvind brings with him a wealth of experience, expertise and, crucially, stellar leadership skills which he has developed over a career spanning almost three decades. His and the wider team appointments are a testament to our commitment to our clients in the Nordic region. Our growing areas of specialism in Norway present an exciting career option for brokers seeking to work within an independent, ambitious, entrepreneurial environment. I look forward to our journey ahead as Lockton continues to attract top-calibre talent who provide exceptional service to clients.”
